A classic chorus moment

From a state known more for its forests and picturesque landscapes comes Maine’s own Cruel Hand, a ferocious quartet. They play fast hardcore, more akin to early 1990s acts that grew out of the thrash metal movement, although they have very little in common with any current thrashcore bands. Ever energetic, the band members hardly stop moving during their set including the singer who makes it a point to be all over the place as much as possible, including getting the crowd to join in as often as he can. This is not a band that takes performing too seriously and encourages stage diving along with some stage dancing during two step breakdowns. Cruel Hand remind me of hardcore bands that I saw when I was younger and the scene was less about trying to look as mean or as serious as possible but about having fun and sharing a common experience/bond with those around you and they certainly encourage that with their up-beat brand of hardcore.

They have just wrapped up a cross country tour with BANE, Alpha & Omega, and Trapped Under Ice, and will be returning to The Talent Farm on 27 October 2010 promoting their newest CD Lock & Key.
