Hivemind at The Talent Farm on 2010-07-10
Hivemind are one of those bands whose songs get into you, not because they’re just songs with words but because they have meaning behind them. Instead of blending into a metal backdrop, they put together songs like hardcore bands do; songs about ethics, having a purpose, survival, and staying true to oneself. Max, the affable lead singer, has a quite powerful song written about surviving the Holocaust, an issue close to him. The guitarist and the drummer of Hivemind also play in One To Blame so it was quite interesting to see them playing serious hardcore outside of the parody and lambast of OTB. They put on an extremely high energy and non-stop stage show, with song interludes injected with jokes and personal anecdotes.
Hivemind are currently gearing up to do a mini-tour of the east coast of the United States with South Florida legends Remembering Never and my buddies in Forty Winters.
