KEZIA at The Talent Farm on 2010-07-10
Up and coming two step metallers Kezia out of Ft. Lauderdale intertwine a tantalizing mix of guttural screams and metalcore breakdowns. Their songs are fast and heavy with punishing breakdowns to dance and groove to. The choruses have a great polyphonic tone due to the fact that both of the guitarists sing backup to the front man Panjo. Once you listen to their music a bit more, you can really hear the punk influences in the guitar and bass riffs while the drumming has a bit of a old school metal feel to them. All of these blend together with sparse samples to put them a step ahead of other bands in the same genre. It’s definitely a fun and high energy show as nearly everyone on stage is running around and flailing arms or guitars, which is definitely haphazard in a good way. They’re currently burning up the Palm Beach/Broward venue circuit and always put on a good show.
