Ft. Lauderdale-based metalcore quintet My Amends play what can be aptly described as melodic metalcore. Why these guys aren’t being blasted on rock stations around the state I’ll never understand, they definitely have a great crossover sound. From the great guitar work and energetic drumming and singing, they’ve got mass appeal. The songs hook you, from memorable choruses to lyrics about battling addictions and taking responsibility for your actions, good stuff for sure. I love the bridges between verses because the music meshes together just perfectly to get into your head. Their stage show is great as the two guitarists and bassist definitely have good energy and play off each other during the songs to create a fun atmosphere.

My Amends is currently on tour and they will be concluding the Florida leg in August with a show at the Culture Room in their home town of Ft. Lauderdale.
