One of my favorite bands of 2010, The Contortionist, returned to South Florida recently as a part of the To Catch A Predatour tour. Aside from a small feedback issue with the kick drum microphone, the sound was awesome. I think that the larger stage at RocketownFL definitely gave Jon and the guys room enough to really get into their heavy, layered music and not worry about being squeezed on stage or bombarded by fans inches from their face, such as it was at Ground Control. The set was just as entertaining as the last time I saw them and I think everyone had a great time seeing them; I know they won a few new fans after they were done. Now, the last time I saw them I said they were my favorite national touring band and does that epithet still ring true after this performance? Yep and I really have to thank Jon and the rest of the guys for making me like them even more.

The tour isn’t over yet and is still plowing through the US. From start to finish, the line-up is heavy and insane, not something you want to miss if you can help it!
